Norm Stout

Senior Designer

BCL Senior Designer, Norm Stout, is an Audio-Visual Designer at BCL Enterprise with a deep-rooted passion for music, sound systems, and technical creativity. His journey into the field began with a fascination for taking things apart to understand how they work, which ultimately led him to join the U.S. Army as a telecommunications repairman. After serving in the Persian Gulf War and receiving an honorable discharge in 1993, Norm pursued a degree in Electronic Media with a focus on sound design from the University of Cincinnati. He then built his career in concert and musical theater production before transitioning to audio-visual services and design, specializing in AV and security integration. His diverse experiences have honed his technical expertise and problem-solving skills, making him a valuable asset to BCL.

Norm was drawn to BCL after years of collaborating with the company on projects during his time with an AV and security system integration firm. Having long respected BCL’s reputation for excellence, he was eager to join the team when the opportunity arose. Throughout the interview process, he was impressed by the company’s culture of professionalism, learning, and growth, which continues to inspire him in his role.

Outside of work, Norm has always had a passion for adventure. From early mission trips abroad to serving in the Army and working in Alaska’s fishing industry during college, he has always sought opportunities to explore. Today, he shares his love for the outdoors with his family, taking road trips to national parks, camping, and riding off-road motorcycles through the backcountry.
